Agreement
By using this site, applying to a cohort, signing up as a volunteer, or inquiring about sponsorship, you agree to these terms. SV Lions is a program operated by Designers Grid Inc., a Delaware corporation operating in California.
About the program
SV Lions is an in-person accelerator for teen builders ages 12 to 18, based in Palo Alto, California. The founding cohort is offered free of charge by application. Future cohorts may include tuition, scholarships, school partnerships, or sponsored seats.
Acceptance is at our discretion. We select for curiosity, motivation, and readiness to participate fully.
Eligibility and consent
Students must be between 12 and 18 years of age. A parent or legal guardian must consent to the student's participation before any student data is stored, and before the student attends.
Parents will be contacted directly about logistics, supervision, photo and video releases, and any other coordination required for the cohort.
Conduct
Participants โ students, parents, mentors, volunteers, sponsors โ are expected to behave respectfully and professionally. We reserve the right to remove anyone whose behavior compromises the safety, well-being, or learning of others.
Specifically prohibited: harassment of any kind, hate speech, plagiarism, intentional misrepresentation of work, sharing of others' personal information without consent.
Intellectual property
Students own what they build. Ideas, code, designs, and products created by students during SV Lions remain the property of the student.
SV Lions retains the right to:
- Document and publicly showcase student work for marketing and program outcomes (with parent or guardian consent for minors)
- Use photos and video from the program, where consent has been given
- Refer to students' projects as alumni of SV Lions
Mentors, volunteers, and sponsors do not acquire any ownership of student work simply by participating.
